My company just moved into a new office building, and my new digs are awesome! We have high-tech stuff like video camera phones and security badges.
STINKING BADGES! Yes we need them.
I do feel quasi-important though. Not like “government security clearance” important, but certainly “parking lot security guard” important. Which is more important that I was before.
I’m super psyched about the video phones. But now that we’re settled in, everyone has decided to block the video on their phone calls. Now all you see is a black void. It almost seems rude. If I show you mine, you have to show me yours right? Isn’t that proper video space phone etiquette? If anything, it’s the polite thing to do. I’m trying not to take it personally.
