How I Got Superfoods & Protein Into My 7-Year-Old [without brute force]

TLDR: This is how I get over 20 organic superfoods and 18 grams of plant-based protein into my 7-year-old without brute force.

Ya’ll I am MOMMING SO HARD!

So I’ve been making these plant-based protein/greens smoothies for Lea and myself, and I GOT MY KID TO DRINK IT! And LIKE it. This is a BFD. It’s hard enough to get her to eat anything besides chicken nuggets [don’t judge] let alone food with any nutrients. The first time I tried to give her the smoothie was a big fail. Hello mom, it’s GREEN. But I finally managed to mix the right concoction of greens, protein, strawberries and BLUEberries to get the right “color” for her palate. She thinks it’s a fruit smoothie. And I think I’m brilliant.

Here’s the exact recipe I used for Avalea:

Frozen Strawberries [3-4 average size]
Frozen Blueberries [1/2 cup]
Ice
Super Green Juice [1/4 scoop]
Super Organic Protein [1 scoop]
Premier Protein Vanilla Shake 10-12 ouncesĀ fruit/ice [you can substitute milk]
Vanilla Extract 1- 1 1/2 tsp [I’m not sure b/c it spills out every damn time]
1 Splenda packet [don’t judge]

THERE IS A TRICK TO THIS!!

Put the powders with some milk and ice in a separate container and shake the shit out of it before adding it to the blender, otherwise it’ll stick to the side and never mix.

Also I blend the fruit with some milk first before adding the rest. It just works faster.

Here is the adult version – ya’ll my wife actually loves this shake and she is NOT a health nut.

Frozen Strawberries [3-4 average size]
Frozen Blueberries [1/4]
Ice
Super Green Juice [1 scoop]
Super Organic Protein [1 scoop]
Premier Protein Vanilla Shake 10-12 ounces

You don’t have to use both shakes, but they have a bundle if you do.
